‘New Normal’ Empathy Card from Emily McDowell.

This is a great card to show someone who has had to face a massive upheaval in life that you are there for them.

This card would be apt for bereavement or for people finishing their treatment for cancer and now facing their ‘new normal’.

I found finishing my treatment and being cast back into the ‘real world’ really confusing and disconcerting. I had fundamentally changed and had to work out the ‘new me’. Everyone else thought things were just back to normal – but, for me, it was an entirely ‘new normal’.

Grief is a long, shitty process. After the initial shock, the rest of the world moves on, leaving a grieving person in a foggy kind of limbo. Let them know you get it, and you’re here for it.
